Dr. Joseph Fuller

Emory University School of Dentistry

"Dentistry allows me to make a difference in my patients’ lives. I feel very fortunate to serve my community and love being a dentist. I believe in educating my patients and providing a warm, friendly environment where they are comfortable with treatment as well as asking questions."

Life & Hobbies

He attended dental school at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia. After graduating, Dr Fuller served in the United States Navy Dental Corp. Once he retired from the US Navy Dr. Fuller began practicing in the Jacksonville area and has been doing so for the past 20 years. He is an avid sailor and fisherman.

Dr. Leydi Barros-Rockafellow

New York University College of Dentistry

Dr. Barros graduated from New York University-College of Dentistry top of her class academically, and clinically. She was a Teaching Assistant for two years and taught the new classes how to perform restorative, fixed and removable prosthetic procedures. She received the school’s Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Memorial award for demonstrating superior performance in providing oral comprehensive care and administering a dental practice. She also received the Dean’s Scholarship for demonstrating academic excellence throughout Dental School.

She provides preventative, cosmetic, restorative and surgical procedures including, but not limited to: fillings, crowns, implant crowns, Overdentures (dentures supported by implants), veneers, bridges, dentures, extractions, bone grafts, root canal therapy, oral cancer screening, teeth whitening and is a Certified Invisalign Provider (Clear orthodontic appliance).

She is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and Hispanic Dental Association. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. David Beltran

Harvard School of Dental Medicine

Dr. David Beltran, DMD attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated in 2004. He performed his residency as a Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital. This was followed by post-graduate work done at Nova Southeastern University which yielded a Certificate in Periodontology.

Dr. Beltran is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Florida Association of Periodontists. In 2009 he was conferred the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Asbury

Fresno Veteran’s Administration Hospital

Dr. Asbury is a recent transplant from California where she practiced at a federally qualified healthcare clinic, the Fresno Veteran’s Administration Hospital, and a private practice. She completed a general practice residency at hospitals in Fresno after dental school. This provided an advanced education and an opportunity to learn from specialists in oral surgery, pedodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics. Her time as an on-call dentist allowed her to work side by side with many different specialists in head and neck trauma cases in the ER. Dr. Asbury is certified to provide dental care in a hospital operating room for patients requiring general anesthesia.

Dr. Asbury’s passion for helping people goes hand in hand with her passion for dentistry. Aside from working in health centers aimed at providing low income families and individuals, she coordinated and set up a rural health clinic in northern California. She has even taken her spirit of giving back to Jamaica and Kenya. She has volunteered and planned numerous dental services such as Remote Area Medical, Team Smile, Give Kids a Smile, the Poverello Homeless Shelter, and the California Dental Association Cares.

Dr. Young

University of North Carolina

Dr. Brian Todd Young was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and was raised in Jacksonville, Florida. His interest in dentistry began at an early age, as both his father and grandfather were practicing general dentists. Completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, Dr. Young went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Shortly thereafter, he returned to the University of Florida to complete specialty training in periodontics and implant dentistry; he also attained a Master of Science degree.

Dr. Young is a full-time, licensed periodontist and implant specialist with over 12 years of experience in the field of dentistry. He founded Perio Implant Services (previously Jacksonville Periodontics and Implant Dentistry) in 2002 and provides dental implant and periodontal surgical care in an itinerant setting. Currently partnered with Dr. Wagner at Eccella and many other dentists in the greater Jacksonville area, Dr. Young offers his expertise and skills to Eccella patients from the convenience of our Jacksonville Beach office.

Dr. Young is involved in progressive periodontal, dental implant, and bone regeneration clinical practice and specially trained in techniques involving minimally invasive, computer-guided dental implant surgery and tissue grafting techniques. In addition to his qualifications, experience, and education, Dr. Young upholds current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Conscious Sedation (State of Florida permit.) He has also lectured to the general public, general dentists, and other surgeons on numerous current issues regarding dental implant reconstruction and periodontics.

As a recipient of the American Dental Association (ADA) award for his commitment to this cause, Dr. Young has been heavily involved in coordinating care for the underserved population in Jacksonville since 2002. He founded the Institute for Guided Implant Surgery (IGIS) in 2006 and taught continuing education programs in guided surgery technique to hundreds of dentists until 2011. He also served on the Jacksonville Dental Society Board as President during a 4 year term from 2007 to 2011, spent 5 years from 2008 to 2013 on the Editorial Review Board for renowned dental implant journal Implant Practice US, and served on the Advisory Board for the exclusive publication Florida Doctor North for 8 years from 2005 to 2013. In 2009, Dr. Young was inducted as a Fellow Member of Pierre Fauchard Academy, an international honorary society comprised of ethical dentists with outstanding contributions to the art and science of dentistry.
